Our Synergies

IMPAQT has build a strong set of synergies in the last two years. Take a look!

DataBio

The main goal of the DataBio project is to show the benefits of Big Data technologies in the raw material production from agriculture, forestry and fishery/aquaculture for the bioeconomy industry to produce food, energy and biomaterials responsibly and sustain-ably.

DataBio proposes to deploy a state of the art, big data platform on top of the exist-ing partners’ infrastructure and solutions – the Big DATABIO Platform. The work will be continuous cooperation of experts from end user and technology provider companies, from bioeconomy and technology research institutes, and of other partners.

5G-HEART

5G-HEART as one of 5G PPP Phase 3 projects will deploy innovative digital use cases involving healthcare, transport and aquaculture industry partnerships. It will focus on these vital vertical use-cases of healthcare, transport and aquaculture. On health, 5G-HEART will validate pillcams for automatic detection in screening of colon cancer and vital-sign patches with advanced geo-localization as well as 5G AR/VR paramedic services. On transport, 5G-HEART will validate autonomous/assisted/remote driving and vehicle data services. On food, focus will be on 5G-based transformation of aquaculture sector (worldwide importance for Norway, Greece, Ireland).

AFarCloud

AFarCloud provides a distributed platform for autonomous farming that will allow the integration and cooperation of agriculture Cyber Physical Systems in real-time in order to increase efficiency, productivity, animal health, food quality and reduce farm labour costs. It will be integrated with farm management software and will support monitoring and decision- making solutions based on big data and real time data mining techniques. It also aims to make farming robots accessible to users by enabling farming vehicles to work in a cooperative mesh, thus opening up new applications and ensuring re- usability, as heterogeneous standard vehicles can combine their capabilities in order to lift farmer revenue and reduce labour costs.

INTEGRATE

INTEGRATE facilitates the industrial transition towards Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) in the European Atlantic Area. IMTA systems are a circular economy paradigm. They contribute to making Atlantic aquaculture more sustainable and competitive, thus unlocking green growth within the European aquaculture sector. However, despite IMTA being encouraged by European Union (EU) policies such as the Blue Growth Strategy, the Atlantic Action Plan and RIS3, there still are socio-economic, administrative and legal bottlenecks hampering its development to its full potential. To overcome these, INTEGRATE supports meaningful cooperation between academia, the corporate sector and relevant authorities

iFishIENCi

The iFishIENCi EU funded project is bringing together 16 partners in a trans-disciplinary effort towards making genuine improvements to fish farming worldwide. The ambition of iFishIENCi is developing and demonstrating disruptive IoT/AI based innovations, considering the feeding value chain as a whole, and addressing four commercially-important species, with fish quality as focus. Through close collaborations between engineers and fish biologists, the smart feeding and monitoring systems will be more elaborate and precise.

DEMETER

The project, funded in the frame of Horizon 2020 Public-Private Partnership Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking (topic BBI.D7-2015), will demonstrate a yield increase and cost reduction of the production process of a C1-based biogas enzyme as well as its positive effect on biogas production in Europe. DEMETER will thus increase the yield of the fermentation process at an industrial scale as well as the down-stream processing, reducing the cost of the end product and making the enzyme available for wide-spread application in biogas production throughout Europe.
